Last updated: September 5, 2026. How Suguru Vella Pharmacy collects, uses and protects your information.
We collect information you give us directly — your name, phone number, email address, delivery address and any details you include in an order, enquiry or complaint form.
Your information is used to process and deliver orders, respond to enquiries, provide pharmacist advice where appropriate, and improve our service. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Prescription details and health-related information you share are treated as confidential and handled in line with professional pharmacy practice. Access is limited to staff involved in dispensing or advising on your order.
When you send a prescription from this site, your browser first redraws each page as a plain picture, which removes anything else the file carried, such as hidden scripts or location tags. The pages are encrypted before they are stored, and only pharmacy staff with dispensing access can open them.
We share information only where it is needed to complete a service — for example with a delivery rider handling your order, or a payment provider processing a transaction — or where we are required to do so by law.
We use browser storage for things the site cannot work without: your basket, whether you are signed in, and the cookie choice you made. These are set whatever you choose, because declining them would mean the shop could not function.
Anything beyond that is only set after you accept. You are asked on your first visit, and you can change your mind at any time using Cookie preferences at the foot of any page, or by clearing site data in your browser.
If you decline, we do not simply stop there: analytics is switched off and any non-essential cookie already on your browser is deleted straight away, so declining after having accepted actually undoes something. Only the necessary ones listed above survive.
Your answer does not last forever. It is stored with the date you gave it and expires after 180 days, at which point we ask again rather than assume the answer still stands. Re-opening Cookie preferences shows you what you chose and when.
We keep a record of the answer itself — the choice, the date, which version of this notice you were shown, and a random identifier your browser generates for itself. If you were signed in, your account is noted too. We do not store your IP address, your browser fingerprint or the pages you visited alongside it: keeping a tracking profile about somebody's decision not to be tracked would defeat the point.
At checkout you can tap Pin my exact location. Your browser will ask your permission first, and nothing is read unless you press that button and agree — we never ask for it in the background or on page load.
If you do share it, the coordinate is attached to that one order as a map link, so the rider can find you when an address is hard to describe. It is not tracked, not stored against your account, and not used for anything else. Declining changes nothing except that the rider relies on the written address.
Our sign-in, sign-up, password reset and contact forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA. It is there to tell a person from an automated script, which is what keeps this site from being used to send bulk mail or to guess at customer passwords.
To do that, reCAPTCHA collects hardware and software information — such as device and application data — and sends it to Google for analysis. It sets its own cookies for this purpose. This information is used to improve reCAPTCHA and for general security, and is not used by Google for personalised advertising.
Because it is a security measure, reCAPTCHA runs on those forms whether or not you accept optional cookies. If you would rather not use it, you can place an order by phoning us on +233 50 198 6299 or messaging us on WhatsApp instead.
Your use of reCAPTCHA is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people find useful — how many visits a page gets, roughly where visitors are, and which links they follow. It tells us nothing about who you are, and we never connect it to your prescriptions, orders or health information.
It is not loaded at all until you accept cookies. Decline, and the script is never fetched and no analytics cookie is set. If you accept and later change your mind through Cookie preferences, the tag is disabled and the cookies it left behind are cleared there and then.
What Google does with the data it processes is covered by their Privacy Policy.
You can ask us what information we hold about you, request a correction, or ask us to delete information where we are not required to keep it. Contact us using the details below and we will respond as promptly as we can.
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we encourage you to avoid sending sensitive health details through unsecured channels.
